"Let's Clean Up and Blog"

Image
As we celebrate Environment Month, the theme "Let’s Clean Up and Blog!" encourages us to take action to preserve our planet. This initiative urges everyone to engage in clean-up drives while also sharing our experiences and insights through blogging. These activities not only help lessen trash and pollution but also promote a sense of community as we work together for a common goal. Sharing our experiences through blogging helps us to reflect on our efforts and show how our actions make a difference. By sharing what we do, we raise awareness about environmental problems and the need to care for our surroundings. This sharing can inspire conversations and motivate others to get involved in similar efforts. In this way, we can create a ripple effect, encouraging more people to join the movement and be committed to protecting our environment.     Taking a step towards a cleaner environment, one bag at a time! Taking a step towards a cleaner environment by turning recycled materi...

Reflection

Image
In ICT 10, I gained extensive knowledge about the internet and learned effective research techniques for finding credible information on various topics. This course provided me with the skills to navigate the vast amount of information available online, which is essential in today’s digital age. However, my journey was not without challenges. I faced significant time management issues, as personal problems often limited my ability to review material and engage in discussions.      These time constraints made test-taking particularly difficult. Furthermore, during lessons, distractions prevented me from focusing on the teacher’s explanations, which hindered my understanding of key concepts. I often found myself struggling to keep up with the curriculum, as my mind was occupied with outside concerns that made it hard to concentrate. This created a cycle of frustration, making it increasingly difficult to perform well academically.  Moving forward, I will ...

Together4Teachers

Image
Teachers are true heroes and are considered our second parents. Filipino teachers make significant contributions to students like me, as they pave the way for us to achieve our aspirations. Despite low salaries and limited benefits received each month, they continue to teach tirelessly because, for them, true happiness lies in seeing their students succeed. Although our teachers have different teaching styles, I am confident that they share a common goal: to nurture and develop the knowledge and talents of their students. They teach not only lessons related to our dream professions but also life lessons that will remain in the minds and hearts of students .  The theme "Together4Teachers" focuses on recognizing and supporting teachers and their important role in shaping the future. It reminds us that teachers, who often don’t get enough appreciation or fair pay, are crucial in our lives. They work hard to help us grow both in school and as individuals. By coming ...

From Vulnerability to Strength: Philippines' Resilience Strategies.

Image
The Philippines is constantly at risk from natural disasters, owing to its location in the Pacific Ring of Fire and its vulnerability to typhoons, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions.Climate change exacerbates these risks by creating more frequent and severe weather events that endanger lives, infrastructure, and the economy. These considerations highlight the country's urgent need to strengthen its resilience in the face of such recurring threats.      In response to these issues, the Philippine government, in collaboration with local and international groups, has implemented a variety of initiatives to improve disaster preparedness and response. Key initiatives include strengthening disaster risk reduction frameworks, improving infrastructure standards to withstand extreme events, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices to mitigate the effects of climate change. Furthermore, strategies to educate communities and strengthen local disaster man...

Letter for the president

PRESIDENT FERDINAND MARCOS JR. MalacaƱang Palace Compound J.P. Laurel Street, San Miguel  Manila Philippines  Dear President Marcos, I'm writing to express a mix of emotions I have about your leadership. I adore this country, and I have no doubt that you do as well. But with love comes concerns. I'm concerned about the direction we're going in—it sometimes feels like average Filipinos' voices are being disregarded. I want to believe in your vision for the Philippines, but I wish to see more empathy and action to address the daily challenges we encounter. Please listen to us and lead our country to a brighter future.  Sincerely, Maria.   References: Latoza, R., & Latoza, R. (2024, April 9).
