Elpidio Quirino: From Humble Beginnings to National Leadership

    Quirino, the sixth president of the Philippines, was a man of humble beginnings whose dedication to public service left a significant impact on the nation. Born on November 16, 1890, in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Quirino grew up in a modest family. Despite financial difficulties, he excelled academically and later earned his law degree from the University of the Philippines.
